This is in reply to a question PM'd to me (sent by the forum Private Message service), regarding the time zone settings on the forum.
Basically, the request was to set the times correctly.
I need to explain that the forums are rather clever in that although the forum records a time for the board (which is set correctly for the uk), but also considers other people may be in other parts of the world, and so remembers different time zones for each user.
Which is very helpful. If your timezone is wrong, or if for example you're heading off on elective somewhere and want the timezones set up right, or you just wanna play, well, heres a quick click by click guide to how to change your timezone:
1. Login
2. In the header at the very top of the page, above the google adverts, there are a number of buttons. Click on the one called 'profile', which is towards the right, between 'calender' and 'logout'.
3. This opens a page which shows a summary of your ID. At the top of the window, just below where it says your name, and just to the right of your avatar (picture) if you hae one, are three headings in Blue- Members Bio, Modify Profile and Bookmarks. Members bio is the page you are currently on, and so is in thicker and darker blue writing.
Click on 'Modify Profile'.
4. This changes the page to one that displays more details about your ID, and also allows you to change them. This time scroll right the way down to the bottom of the page. The final option is called 'time zone'. select the time zone you want from the drop- down box.
5. Click on the 'Modify Profile' button, to save the changes.
This will give you a confirmation screen.
You can now either click on the 'Home' button int he top header or use the forum jump or click anywhere else to continue using the forums. Your time zone is now changed!
