salam al alaikum, jzkA to sana for all her hard work in organising sisters get to know each other events for the new term it also got me thinkin....that the brothers may also benefit from similar events, so why not have something like a brothers day? i was gonna suggest a brothers football, but maybe not every brother would want football, so if its a general social gathering where there is football and general chat, and food, then it might be a good event where the brothers can kind of integrate within the new uni and their new community of brothers at ucl and have fun. what do people think? and is there anyone that wants to do this and organise it etc? wasalam yasmin

Salaam yasmin,
thanks for your concern lol....to be honest im not quite sure how things are going to work out for the brothers...were generally an apathetic bunch who talk about football alot, but not sure if we could kick one to save our lives lol...
IA we'll get on to this once uni has started and talk about it during ramadan so that we can realy get organised once the month of fasting is over..
This year iA things will be different, iA the rums isoc bros will be going to do the sports sessions we've been allocated in Astor College, not only to have fun, but in all honesty the bro's could all do with shedding a few pounds and being jst that little bit healthier....afterwards it'll be off to simply chickn for a treat! lol... in the words of the masterful shayan 'my arteries are calling' lol
take care wasalaam Rashid

AA, Just thought that I'd add the idea of a brothers get-together seems good but as Rashid mentioned we tend to be an apathetic bunch (well not all of us any . In terms of organising this I would suggest maybe leaving it till term starts as we'll have a better idea of numbers plus when to stage it (timewise) as with Ramadan round the corner we will all be busy & in a different routine with Taraweeh. I'm always up for a decent social! WS, Shayan
