thanks for the comments NMA,
to be honest i quite like having the rums small in the logo..fits in well with the mosque shape, and the logo i think would be recognizable over time iA not requiring us to spell out RUMS ISoc, although i think the RUMS ISoc written in it is sufficient..
can i have some details of which colours ppl would like to see the thing in? wasalaam Rashid

salam al alaikum, salam NMA, hope life in work is ok o i agree with most of wots in th lists so far, but wot u mean by point no.2? ohhhh at last as in at last we're gettin t-shirts? so ur as excited as i am bout them o point 7... variety of colours? i think black is a v good colour to stick with right now n i think most ppl like it as well; i dunno, if we had diff colour t-shirts, it may get a bit too confusin if they were all to be different i think...maybe as u said in later years diff designs so diff colours mayb, unless it might work with jus a few diff colours, or maybe changin colour of the logo for diff people...but mayb later, once we've got the hang of t-shirt making! o and i agree, green could look v nice - i think medium-light green would b v nice, but i spose we could change this from orange/discuss about doin this jus before we're totally ready to order o an yeh, i cant wait for the new isoc range of clothes either! o wot other clubs u been in? did u say badminton somtime? o point 5 - why not personalise them yet; i think it might only cost a couple of pound extra? but i dnt mind if ppl dont want names on them... o an yeh, do we hav estimated cost, or quotes from ppl? - is ther a service/company tht most sports clubs use? wasalam yasmin

AA, I said 'At last' because the idea of T shirts was first floated many years ago. Just didn't happen. Where we had varieties of colour, it basically was that we had a big design, and then ppl could choose the background colour they wanted, e.g. red. green. blue, black, etc. I personally wouldn't personalise them yet. thats just my opinion. I'm sure I have a good reason, just can't remember it right now. Need Sleep. As for other clubs, i have probably been a member of some 20 different clubs and socs during my time at UC. Lost count. I recommend it to everyone... be in atleast 1 or 2 clubs/ socs besides ISoc. Lol, I once ended up representing 3 different socs at one union meeting, which kind of gave me an unfairly large vote... only I had to represent each soc in their best interests, which led to some interesting internal debates... Sorry for going slightly off topic there wslm NMA

Salaam guys,
me and suli went to 't 4 me' -- a shop right next to Goodge street masjid .. we got a quote for the t-shirt..
What we are planning is iA having the logo (with orange letters) in the top left hand corner, and the words RUMS ISOC at the back of the t-shirt sort of 5-6 inches below the round neck of the t-shirt.
Now the estimate he gave us was 15 pounds per t-shirt for buying 10-15 T-shirts, and if we order 15-20 Tshirts he'll bring it down to 10 pounds each.
I think personally 10 pound should be the absolute maximum we pay for the T shirt seeing as tho all it will be is a black t-shirt with 2 words and a logo printed on it...
would like to know what you guys think -
Need the following information from you guys:
1. Who is definetly interested in buying one? 2. What price are you prepared to pay? 3. What colour would you personally want the letters in the logo to be? i.e. pink , light green, blue, watever.. 4. Do you think you would want your name printed at the back under the words RUMS ISOC? I personally think it would be kinda cool/nice as freshers/other people who might be a bit intimidated etc at the beginning and are not so familiar with your name would atleast beable to put a name to face...a bit like the friendly faces page but in reality lol ...
I Need to start getting some numbers of confirmations soon as then i can go ahead and give the order...
K take care guys wasalaam Rashid

salam al alaikum, 1. im def interested in buying one, lol, noticed how i always seem to be the first to reply with this t-shirt business? 2. £10 is a good maximum, though the maximum i would be prepared to go up to is about £12 to £13; any lower than ten would also be good (can we lower it for eg if we agree to put his logo on front of freshers booklet for eg like the other sponsors if we want to lower the price, or maybe jus some good old fashioned haggling?) 3. medium pink or dark pink; or any pink or pinky looking colour lol/(light-medium green/light-medium (definitely not dark) blue/maybe purply; these colours also sound good to me) but if we're each gettin individual colours, wouldn't it cost more, or has he agreed to vary the rumsisoc writing logo colours for free?
maybe it would look more cool to everyone lookin at our t-shirts (!) if they also saw coloured writing on the back, as opposed to white (was white writing what u were thinking of?) 4. yeh i like the idea of name printed at the back under "RUMS ISOC", - so itll be at the back not at the front under the logo? either way could look nice i think. would it not cost extra money to have our names on them or have you spoken to him about names as well?
Thanks for sortin this wasalam inshAllah see you all soon! yasmin
