AA,
We discussed ideas for a talk at the RUMS weekly meeting the week before last and it was decided that the topic would focus on the Islam & ethics type talks that we have put on previously e.g. Islam & Euthanasia last year,
This year it was initially suggested an evolution type talk would be good, but at our meeting last week we felt maybe something like Islam and Organ Transplantation/donation - a very loose 'working title'. This could cover things like bone marrow donation etc
Just an update, will add more as it happens. Any thoughts/questions/suggestions welcome.
WS,
Shayan.

AA, nice to hear. when does trerm end for you guys? just be aware fo the time restriction, and book rooms and speakers early. it's a good nebulous topic, and you don't have to delve too deeply to give rulings, so it's a good un. also these things tend to have to be repeatewd every so often, and it's very relevent. good, good. AA,
This term comes to an end for pre-clin students on Friday March 24th. Thats not too far away, but inshallah there is still sufficient time to organise this.
Does anyone by chance have the contact details for Dr Shaida who came last year? (please email to rums-isoc@ucl.ac.uk).
Also, any suggestions for a second speaker?
Wasalaam,
Shayan.

Assalamu Alaikum,
Funny you should discuss this topic. Myself and Amir have been approached by someone (via email) from one of the societies, cant remember off hand but will mention in a later post regarding bone marrow donation and encouraging our society members to donate as this particular society has organised a week in which to donate. This sounds very vague, it's late and have alot to sort out, but will send more details tomorrow.
Wassalam,
Qasim
