Salam! ;D ITS SUMMMMMER!!! Well ... sort of lol. Lets just pray for good weather when we go to thorpe park inshaallah. First thing is first, we need to set a date. I was thinking before results come out (ie before the 6th of June) so that no-one has to be worried about retakes. If so, we need to ge this organised ASAP. Once the date is confirmed everyone who wants to come should book their own tickets. I think lastminute.com is doing some deal at the mo. Anyways let me know what you think Sana

Salam Sana!!! I think day b4 results day is perfect! I still wanna go regardless of weather if dats kool wid every1 else. Just checked lastminute.com, tix are £24 so we save £8. Group boking might be cheaper if u check on da thorpe park website but would be more of a hassle. Also, if we go b4 3rd june tix are £18 on some promotion thorpe p, but thaark have. It's only 3 days earlier but that would mean we'd hae to go this week which might be too much of shrt notice 4 ppl. Plus its half term so Thorpe park will b full of kids n jus packed, wat u think?

salam al alaikum, shaarifa ur so funny, i agree, no kids, half term would be bad to go in, coz would hav to queue for ages, but also £24 is quite expensive, normally u can get offers for £15, did anyone see their group bookings? also, often shops like woolworths sometimes give half price vouchers (buy one person get one free) when u buy stuff, sometimes i think it would be ok to go on results day, except for someone will prb bring it up an say our results are up now, an that would prob ruin the outing if we were to think about it when they came up, an not forget about them, but many ppl may prob be excited (!) about them comin up, an not able to wait, so they may not wanna be out of computer vicinity at that time, so, going back to half term, maybe not that many kids would be goin, an maybe they have homework around now so cant really go, prob would go in summer hols, an if some did go they may need to go back home early, an if they did go home early rides would free up, an also, may be ok if tickets are cheaper, wasalam yasmin

i agree. 24 is too expensive . results day is not a good idea. any earlier than the 5th will be hard to plan. i think we should delay till later on in the summer. what does everyone think about this? regardless we shud set a date so that the planning is done now.we have other things to be planning ie freshers events--- plz have a look at the relevent section in the forums for this.

Salaam everybody,
Now that the exam results are out and people are free inshallah, how does next week sound? I think sooner is better before everyone disappears on holiday, but have enough time to advertise inshallah. I've scoured the net, can't find cheaper tickets than £24 for thorpe park unless we do a group booking which would make it £21.40.
What do you think, tc

Salam! I went onto the thorpe park website, group bookings are on sale right now. Thrill Seeker - 5 to 9 people (aged 12+ years) £18.00 Thrill Seeker - 10+ people (aged 12+ years) £16.20 So basically the more people, the cheaper it is. I think we could easily get 10 sisters, as some non-RUMS sisters also wanted to come along. Wassalam

Salam ! How is everybody? Just as an update on prices here, just found out that if you Spend 15 pounds in iceland u get a buy 1 get one free voucher for thorpe park and other theme parks. I think they have the same thing in tesco or woolworths, i cant rememebr which. It may be worthwhile to pair up between us and sort out ur own tickets, rather than making a group booking which would be a bit more complicated to organise Anyways let me know if anyone makes any progress here in organising this; im in and out of the country for the rest of the summer, so probs cant do much in terms of organisation. will try my best though inshaaalllah to come Tc and hope you are all having a great summer Wassalam Sana

Taken from the MSN meeting minutes You girls forgot didnt you ? ;D I thought i would get away with keeping hush until the said date had passed so i wouldn't have to be forced to go on all the scary rides Ahem.. but anyways Ilhan brought it to my attention yesterday, and expressed her keen desire for this event to go ahead. what can i say, she misses you guys. kind of like how you guys miss me . im kidding, im just a lonely loner. anyways she is getting the poster made as we speak. sO.... Is everyone still up for it? I know there is a lot going on, but i'm sure it would be great to meet up after a long and lonnnnnely summer. REPLy! for GOd's sakes people . lol. xx sana

Ayeshah said Currently the date is set for Friday the 24th August. Maybe we can do saturday the 25th... it depends what everyone else thinks. I don't see why it should be a problem. Now we have buy one get one free also, so it should be a good incentive. Ilhan we do need the poster made asap though , so we can email it around, otherwise there won't be much point.... if you realise you are busy feel free to recruit a friend to help you Sana
